Dare To Wear Show and Tell

Hi Guys and Dolls! Last week MAC launched it’s exciting color collection Dare to Wear! This collection has had me all hot and bothered- the eyeshadow are bright,  a rainbow of color, and most of the colors are matte. 3 of the eyeshadows launched with this collex are from perm-regular line, 3 are from the pro line, 1 is a re-promote, and 5 are brand-spanking new! Along with these DELISH shadows MAC has launched a new type of lipglass, called Dare to Wear Lipglass. It comes in a long skinny tube, and is chock-full-o-glitter! The packaging gives the impression that there is less in the tube than say, a Dazzleglass. Well, well, well, my friends, that just isn’t so. These lipglasses actually have MORE than a standard Lipglass!!!!!!!!!! Excited yet?

more after the jump

These are the shadows I got from the collection. Free to Be and Atlantic Blue are perm so I bought them at a prostore in the pro-pan (it’s cheaper than buying it with the pot) but you can get them at counters anytime as well. Check out Sassy Grass! <3 Shock-a-Holic is labeled as a Matte, but since it had hot pink shimmer in the pan, I think it’s more of a Velvet.

Gimme That! is exactly what I said to the lady at MAC. I LOVE THIS GLOSS! It’s hot-magenta with a purpleish-blue duochrome, (triochrome?) and it’s opaque enough to cover my lipscar with out lip liner

These have nothing to do with this collection, but I got them this week, and not that many people get excited about neutrals, so I figured I’d give them some play :) OH and Bottle Green is amazing. It’s labeled a Matte Texture, but it feels and behaves like a Veluxe texture (different from veluxe pearl, veluxe’s are beyond-anything silky smooth mattes. Sadly MAC has Discontinued most of them, or in this case, mislabeled one)

Here’s some other purples to compare Shock-a-Holic. The little swatch that isn’t labeled is vibrant grape and fig 1 mixed :)

Thanks for stopping by!
