Nude-tral Beauty

Hi Guys and Dolls!

A bunch of you requested a tutorial on the makeup I was wearing in the review video I did for Physician’s Formula. This type of makeup is really simple and beautiful, so it’s a good one to have in your arsenal. I know that for me personally beauty looks can still be a bit if a challenge since I’m a fiend for color! One of the most freeing things for me -as a makeup artist and a woman -was not doing heavy or winged eyeliner everyday, every look. I challenge you all to switch up your beauty habits and rediscover your features.

I hope you enjoy it, and I have something fun coming up for the weekend :)

Pics & Prodz

What I used:

Face:

MAC Stobe Cream & Studio Sculpt Foundation mixed (I used NC15 & NW15 mixed- the NW is just too dark for me, so if it looks “off in the video that’s why. In the pictures it looks fine which is really weird.)

MAC Prep & Prime Powder

Cheeks:

I seriously forgot, but I was wearing either MAC Mocha Blush or NYX Mocha Blush.

Eyes:

MAC Painterly Paint Pot

MAC Mink Pink Shadow (aΒ  muted soft pink)

MAC Swiss Chocolate (Muted Reddish Brown)

MAC Malt ( Soft Muted pinkish Beige)

Physician’s Formula Pink Duochrome highlight from the hazel eyes palette.

MAC Graphblack Technakohl ( A black water-resistant pencil)

Physician’s Formula “Blue” shimmer strips mascara (Black side)

Lips:

Black Radiance Posh Plum

Thanks for stopping by!

  1. Just wanted to say that your beautiful and this look was amazing…I love watching your videos and learning new techniqes..Im almost 40 in a few days and believe it or not learning new ways on wearing color and makeup in general…I used to wear just little shadow, eye liner and mascara..Now I wear it all! and have fun doing it!!..the sad part is I got impulsive buying it now have a crap load I’ll probably never wear ..lol..
I love your style and personality..Thank You for all you do..
    Much Love, Angie from Maine:)

  2. you always do such a nice job! i love this look. i saw the physician’s formula eyeliners and mascaras today from the pop eyes collection and drooled… but i’m on a make-up fast right now so i refrained! i really want to try the green mascara!

  3. I love your tuts and I was wondering… when I do my makeup(which I have recently been doing again, after 3 years.. long time I know and out of practice) my colors are too dark even though I am not using dark colors and not alot of product, how do I lighten it up! Also I was wondering, don’t lnow if this is weird but what is in your closet as far as clothes go. Thanks!!!

  4. REALLY nice, you look BEAUTIFUL in these colors! Plus your tips are always really helpful. I’m curious… how do you know when you begin (with a blank canvas) what you want to end up with? Does that make sense? My makeup collection is growing and I’m happy about it but I dont really “create” looks. I have to get my ideas from you my other gurus, or magazines. I saw Angie Hutchins comment above and I’d have to say I can relate. I used to wear mostly just the basics. Now that Im in my 40s, I’m in a place where I REALLY want to take more time on the fun things in life …. like makeup! Anyway, great video as usual and thanks for the summary here on your blog!
