Wet ‘n’ Wild 8 Palettes!!!

Hi Guys and Dolls!

Today I’m sharing my swatches and thoughts for the new Wet ‘n Wild 8 pan palettes.  There are a couple of things I forgot to mention in my video- All of these new palettes have a few re-promotes from previous palettes, which is a good thing if you missed out, or really like a color, but it’s kinda annoying when companies repromote the same colors over an over (MAC, I’m looking at you- *cough*Deep Truth*cough*) It might just be my imagination, but some of the new ones seem slightly different (the mushroom-gold in the Nigh Elf palette is warmer than the  Comfort Zone version). The good thing is that most of the repeats come from the hard-to-find- Holiday palettes! YAY! Also I forgot to mention that I used the palettes- I used Comfort Zone and Petal Pusher to do the look I was wearing in the review (tutorial coming very soon). They do seem to have a bit of fall out, and some colors (like the Olive green in CZ) are best applied wet to get the full potential!

These were all swatched dry, with a brush on the back of my hand, with a little bit of foundation as a base. I also included some comparison swatches from their previous palettes 🙂

Ok time for pictures!

And now some Comparison swatches to previous palettes:

These are all pretty close, if not in face exact duplicates! Luckily, all the colors are fab!

As you can see, the Vanity palette’s butter-colored highlighter is a bit smoother and cooler, And Night Elf’s Mushroom color is a touch warmer than the one in Comfort Zone.

Again these are basically exact duplicates; I think maybe the ones in the Petal Pusher palette might just be a smidgen less chalky, but more or less, these are the same shadows.

So what do you think? Are you excited to pick this up, or are you passing on these? Which palette are you the most interested in and why?

Where to buy: For now are only available at Walgreens and Walmart (At least that’s what I’ve Heard). Also I’ve heard that there are permanent, but I don’t know if I’d risk waiting for a sale- they’re going like hot-cakes!

How Much? $4.99- Super Cheap -Loves it!

The products shown in the post were all purchased by me; This post is not influenced in anyway by, nor do I represent any company.

All Products shown are cruelty-free (not tested on animals) to be best of my knowledge. I strive to buy only-cruelty free, but I don’t judge those who cannot. I know that not everyone can has the ability put their money where their heart is, but I do my best to only show cruelty-free options, and to let you know if something I use is not cruelty free.

I heard someone else say that they had heard some of the repeats were of a new formulation or something. I wish I could find the Night Elf palette somewhere though, I want that red shadow lmao I wonder if they’ll do new 8 pan palette’s as well later.

I’m doing a project10pan at the moment, but I definitely plan to pick these palettes up when I’m done. Although, two months into P10P, I might just cheat and pick up the “comfort zone” palette!!

I love the Comfort Zone and Blue Had Me at Hello. I wish I’d seen this earlier when I was near a Walgreen’s. Looks like I might be making a trip tomorrow in search of them.

I didnt know a thing about Wet n Wild shadows until about two months ago, so I totally missed out on the Holiday palettes. I was in between a shit and a sweat over it, untill I found these babies!! I have been waiting for Cora’s review on them and tutorials. I am thrilled and cant wait to see what she has in store for us ladies = )

I bought Blue Had Me at Hello. I couldn’t resist. I thought about buying Comfort Zone palette since my current collection is mainly blues and greens. But it would really be more “comfortable” if there were more mattes in that palette. I need more matte shades.

I used Blue Had Me At Hello again yesterday only the silver side this time. We had people coming over so I just went over the silver a wee bit more. My eyelids looked chrome lol

I’m with you and Jocelyn up there. Why can’t they make some matte palettes?? Why does everything HAVE to have glitter in it? Maybe we should write them.

BTW (rude me), Thanks for doing this Cora. Great to see the colors compared and so up close. And before when I said “glitter” I meant “shiny”.

is it me or does the blue had me at hello, crease color on the right side look like deep truth? maybe it’s a dupe.. 🙂

I broke down and got the Blue Had Me at Hello palette even though I need to stop spending money on makeup (yeah right). I’m not sure if I’ll want to pick up Comfort Zone sometime…it looks like there’s a lot of red in some of the shades and that always makes me look like my allergies are really bad lol

You should review W&W’s Limited Edition Coloricon glitter kits! I have both Main Street Glitz and Twinkle Town and would like to hear your input on these palettes .

I’ve always loved bright and funky eye shadows and colors and you’ve definitely shown to people that with the right application, bright colors aren’t as intimidating. Thank you so much Cora! You’re such an inspiring make-up artist and person!

Ofc I watched your video and drooled in february, but I did not have any reason to leave a comment – I only comment if I have smth to say. 😀
I just “love” it that everything comes to Estonia (northern Europe) in such a delay – I first saw these on sale in Seppälä (finnish clothing store, only place to buy wet´n´wild) like 2 days ago. I have been wanting to try comfort zone palette for such a long time. Even the price of 7,95€ (that´s more than twice you pay in US, around 11$) did not scare me away from buying it.

So if you like, you can check out my blog, because I am planning to do a review in near future! http://www. beautyfromliz.blogspot.com
