Milani Crystal Gloss Color Expansion for Spring 2012

Hi Guys & Dolls!

Milani Crystal Gloss is a non-sticky lipgloss with a scent that Milani describes as “Cotton Candy” though I think it smells like caramel cookies. They have a sponge tip applicator that is a bit on the small side so you may need to do several pulls to get enough gloss on your lips. The tube appears small, but they contain 4.86gm of product, about the same as a MAC lipglass. They retail for about 5.49, and can be found an many different druggstores & mass retailers like Target. The color payoff varies from sheer to medium. Milani recently launched a few new colors for spring 2012 and I have 5 to share with you today.

Black Honey

This looks clear here and in person it seems to just barely mute my lipcolor, but in cracks on my lips it looks darker. It looks black in the tube, but if you look close it’s dark brown with gold shimmer

Pucker Up

This is a sheer milky peach. Great for warming up your face on those overcast winter days, I love the softness it give the lips.

Fruit Punch

Sheer milky hot coral-pink. Love it. Love it. Love it. Love the name too- I’m such a sucker for fruit punch flavored RockStar.

Raspberry Icing

Hot fuchsia pink with blue & pink sparkles. Yes please, can I have some more? The shimmer and bright color one reminds me a bit of Milani’s 3D Glitzy Glamour Glosses, though I prefer the scent of these crystal glosses.

Clear is just that, clear so I didn’t think a swatch was necessary, but here’s a shot of the wand.

The Bottom Line: I really dig these & love that they are so affordable. The quality is wonderful, so you don’t even have to feel like you’re sacrificing quality to save money! I carry a few of these in my kit since they are so small & cheap. They are especially nice if you don’t like sticky gloss, these are smooth and not drying.

Price? $5.49 but also look for sales at various retailers

Where to buy? CVS, Walgreens, Target, WalMart &

Awesome! Thanks for the swatches. I hope they aren’t discontinuing the other crystal glosses. <3 Raspberry Icing and Black Honey. The only thing I dislike about these is the scent. It's just a bit sweet for me. Although the glitzy glosses are weirder because the scents aren't consistent. One I got was unscented, one was sweet and another was fruity O_o

Fruit Punch and Raspberry Icing looks more pigment than the others.

Your teeth look like mini marshmellows in your mouth, random I know.

I’m so blown away by how talented you are. I hopped from YouTube to your blog and you are blowing my mind! I’m a crafter, not so good at the makeup, but trying nonetheless and your tutorials are so helpful and interesting. I really appreciate how much detail and work you’re putting into your tutorials, as someone who does them too I know how much effort it is! So, you’re adorable. that is all! xo

Did you consider the lip flash glosses sticky? I bought one of those because I had read someone else’s review that they were not, yet I found those incredibly sticky.

I love these glosses! I think it was one of the first glosses that i bought for myself when i starting trying makeup. The color was innocent. Then I tried summer baby and i love that color and i still have a tube now. I want black honey almost just for the name and i love fruit punch. So pretty!
