Milani Color-Play Felt Tip Pens

Hi Guys & Dolls!

They say coloring can be therapeutic- I most certainly think it’s a great stress reliever and I’ll admit that I’m a grown up with coloring books (Hello Kitty and My Little Pony!). I also think makeup works the same way- nothing quite like getting artistic and painting your face to distract you from whatever stresses you out!

Milani COLOR PLAY Felt-Tip Liquid Pens (.02 oz for 6.99) are markers for your face, and I’m really excited about them! The tips are fine enough to do lovely detailed work, and the color pay off with one swipe is incredible! Liquid pink and white eyeliner isn’t very common period plus the fact that it’s from the drugstore = bonus points!

One thing to note is these are not water resistant at all. In a weird way I actually like that because if you make a boo-boo it’s easy at putting water on a cotton bud and wiping it away! The above sketch was done really quite fast on the back of my hand- I used to draw eyes all the time!

One swipe and then built up to maximum opaqueness; there is very little difference!

The Tip of these makes a fabulous winged liner, here I compared it to the Eye Tech Extreme liner also from Milani.

*********

Final Thoughts: Love! A rainbow of colors gets me every time, the tips are great on these, the color payoff is fabulous: I just love them! I do wish they’d have done a rich purple; if they had I would be compelled to buy 3 back-ups because these bad boys are limited edition; Get them while you can!

so how would you get it to stay on if it’s not water resistant?! I LOVE these colors and the idea of coloring on my face =]

I was thinking the same thing. If you use them on your eyes…seems like they would be all over the place.

just because it’s not water resistant doesn’t mean it won’t stay on, for instance most powder eyeshadow isn’t water resistant but it stays on. I’ve worn these several times (had them for over a week) and they stayed on all day for me ^_^

Are you going to do any new tutorials with these? I agree. A really pretty plum or purple would be so amazing in this form. I hope to see a new tutorial using these. My personal raves are the blue and pink. Could you possibly do a tutorial only using these? ;) or show use how you drew that great eye?:)

I think it’s interesting that, in the picture, all the colored liners are matte and the black has a glossy finish.

I'd Love To Hear Your Thoughts!
