You’ve Got Moxie, Dollface! Makeup Tutorial

Hi Guys & Dolls!

I know that it might not seem like it, but the color palette of today’s tutorial is inspired by Downton Abbey. If you’ve ever seen the show you know that the characters wear no obvious makeup since in those days makeup was considered inappropriate, a tool for Actors and Harlots. However the show is vivid with color; The clothing the women wear and the color of the home itself influenced me greatly when creating this makeup look. If you haven’t checked out the show get on it- season 1 is on Netflix, and both season 1 & 2 are on Hulu Plus. As a bonus, the mother of the 3 daughters is named “Cora”. I never hear my name on TV/movies so it’s a thrill for me!

Anyway back the makeup: The colors of this makeup look are perfect for fall- deep eggplant, brown sugar, olive, and raspberry..wait that’s starting to sound like lunch! The Video is packed with helpful tips, terrible accents, and my usual gooberness. This look would be flattering on so many different people, I’d love to see you recreate it!

  1. I think you are so pretty every look you have is amazing! Lol not to sound odd but my bf has started calling you my gf because I’m always watching your videos or reading your blog. Growing up my mom wasn’t the girly type so I didn’t learn most of this girl stuff until I got old enough to tech myself your such an inspiration to me.

    1. Sometimes beauty makeup doesn’t look very interesting up close, so I prefer to show a full face. In my Midnight in Paris video form earlier this month I have up close photos because it looked great up close.

  2. Do you think you could do a review of some of the Beauty Balms out there? There are soooo many! I have the same fair skin as you and trust your opinion. :) Thanks!

  3. I would also LOVE to see a video on BB creams and what you think. Im a full coverage girl cuz i have some redness on my cheeks so i am very curious. and if you review them please help me choose one thats affordable and easily acessable. Thank you soooo much! I just love everything you do. Your like just watching a best friend show me how to do make up when i watch your videos! You inspire me all the time!

  4. I love this look but the Amazonian escape palette is not available in the UK :( can you suggest a duplicate that could be used instead of camo?
    Thanks
