Hi Guys & Dolls! I’m so excited to share these amazing makeup palettes with you! I’ve talked about my love for the Wizard of Oz before so you can imagine my delight there there will be a new movie, “Oz the Great & Powerful” coming out on March 8. The film will be a prequel about how the characters of Oz came to be. I’m getting chills thinking about it! I’m a huge fan of all the major actors, and the movie looks like it will be visually stunning…but I’m getting of track- you cam here for a review & swatch fest!

First off, let’s talk about the packaging- I LOVE IT! The Theodora Palette is dark and mysterious, with a bit of magical light showing though. Who wouldn’t be attracted to these? I love the contrast of light and dark, I love how they are feel in the hand (sturdy) and I love that the eyeshadows inside are removable. That means that as you use the colors up, you can put other Urban decay shadow singles in their place, so the palette is reusable. Speaking on function- Urban Decay added a great quality and size mirror on the inside- nothing about this looks or feels cheap.

The shadows themselves are knockouts- each one has superb color payoff and texture. In each palette there are 4 single, and 2 duo shadows, for a total of 8 colors. I think this is the first time Urban Decay has done duos in one pan, correct me if i’m wrong. There are a few standout shades that I hope Urban Decay will make permanent- Broken, Bewitch, Spell and Jealous.

Broken pale yellow cream with a satin finish. This is like a satin-textured, less yellow “foxy” which is prefect for me. Great pigmentation.

Beware mid-tone warm matte brown. This will probably be compared a lot to buck, but it’s much deeper and more orange compared to Buck.

Bewitch Cool charcoal brown with an almost satin sheen to it. I’m often asked about the differences between warm and cool browns, and this next to Beware is a  berfect example.

West Deep metallic brown. Insane color payoff and fab texture. Do I sound like a broken record?

Spell Do you remember the Urban decay Deluxe shadows? Well the gold from this duo is like “honey” on crack.  Smooth, pigmented cool gold. The darker colro is a greenish black with green glitter. Again, wonderful pigmentation.

Jealous Another fab duo, this time medium olive green, and a silvery chartreuse. Pearly, great color payoff…just perfect.

Zero 24/7 Liner Black

Theodora Super Saturated High Gloss Lipcolor Intense Red

This palette is chock-ful of earthtones, but also has a big of fun with the silver, shimmery black and greens. The Red lippie form this is so juicy looking! I love it. This is one I can see myself using a lot! Look out for my tutorials with these palettes next week!

  1. Ooooh I looooove these palettes! I work at Sephora and *sigh* I purchased both of them. I have multiple favorites in each palette. I adore the duos in Theodora, that black with green sparkle is TO DIE FOR! And the greens..oooh. Aurora in the Glinda palette is so buttery smooth and the colors are so pretty! I’ve used those two palettes for most of my looks ever since I got them. Oh Oz Palettes, how I love thee!

  2. Girl, you are one talented darling, chickie! I just adore your opinions and tutorials. I must admit, your tutorial on how to apply false eyelashes just blew me away! I knew instantly that I was learning from a knowledgable Goddess, so I’m now hooked on vintageortacky!

  3. Ooops, I forgot to add, you’ve totally sold me on Urban Decay Oz products, so off I go, but I must go to Ulta as I’ve no Sephora near me, heavy sigh.

  4. I can not get the coupon code to work…i really want to know what it would cost with the code….i really want this palette.

  5. I purchased my Glinda palette today, just waiting on it to arrive, but I WILL be getting Theodora as well! I feel like a traitor, I’m a HUGE wicked witch fan…but I had to have the Glinda palette!
