On Wednesdays We Wear Pink ~OOTD~

” saw Cady Heron Vintageortacky wearing army pants and flip flops, so I bought army pants and flip flops

Hey Guys & Dolls!

When I was in high school I did most of my clothes shopping at thrift stores, and one of my favorite finds were a pair of loose and comfy fatigues. I wore them constantly, with my vintage t-shirts (an Einstein one was my fave), and you guessed it, flip flops. When I was about 19 I realized how unattractive wearing baggy pants was and I chucked them out. When I saw Mean Girls and heard the quote about “Army Pants and Flip Flops” I was like “THIS IS MY LIFE” and was instantly sad I got rid of my hella cool pants.

When cyber-window shopping a few weeks ago, I came across this pair of very attractively cut camo pants from City Chic. In. My. Size. INSTABUY!! The slim cut and detailing make them a pant I want to wear all the time. Not to toot my own horn, but my butt looks awesome in these. Oh heck, it’s good to celebrate yourself: Toot toot.

I completed the outfit with pink, pink and more pink. I think that the girly hue balances the green, looks amazing, plus you know:

  1. The pink does feminize the green really well, love all the different shades of pink too and especially your makeup! I feel like tooting my own horn over my butt looking great in my mens flannel pajama bottoms, toot toot 😀

  2. This outfit looks gorgeous on you! I thought this was a myth, but I guess wearing tighter clothes really does emphasize the shape of the body in a good way and makes one look slimmer… I prefer wearing looser blouses, but I think I’ll start rocking some tighter ones thanks to this picture! 🙂

    • I would say form-fitting not “tight”. If it’s uncomfortable don’t wear it. But yes, form fitting is much more flattering than baggy.

  3. I don’t mean to butter you up … but i really love your fasion sense and your makeup is always flawless. Yes you may be plus size but you rock the way you dress…. If that makes you have a swell head , you go girl you rock it , and your husband is a very lucky man…

    • Honestly, It never hurts to hear something as nice as this. All women, are scrutinized for their looks, and wonderful compliments like these make it easier to ignore the chaff.

  4. My absolute favourite lady lecturer at uni used to wear second hand camo pants she got at the army store all the time. She is awesome, and so are you for rocking the camo look as well. Especially with pink!
