  6. I just watched your surprise 3 video on youtube & just wanted to say that I LOVE LOVE LOVE your hair!! And it looks so great with your blue eyes. Just gorgeous!! Love your videos <3

  7. Hello!! πŸ™‚ I’m sure millions of people have told you this, but you are like a god with make-up!!! ^_^ I will sit and watch your videos forever just being amazed at what you can do. You totally inspire me to do funky things with my make-up! Of course, when I try and do what you do…I totally fail! πŸ™ I try so hard but it ends up looking terrible. Maybe I buy crappy make-up. Aha. Well anyways, thanks for being an amazing make-up artist. πŸ™‚ Keep up the good work!

  8. You are the first person on youtube to not get on my nerves when giving tutorials, haha. You are very informed in what you’re saying and explaining and I feel like you truly speak as a stylist in both make up and hair. I’m really excited to follow the advice you give!

I saw your review of cheap hair products and also wanted to let you know about another cheap sulfate/paraben free shampoo/conditioner. It has an egg yolk protein in it too which is also great for giving your hair shine. It’s called Vitamin Shampoo or Vitamin Conditioner. It’s around the same price as the Loreal product $6-7 range, but is less in the grey area about animal testing. It is not testing on animals and comes in several different scents. I use the gogi berry and green tea one since my hair is a bit dry from dying it often. The noni berry and lemongrass one is also great. They have them at most drugstores (I don’t know if you have a Walgreens where you live, but that’s usually where I find mine). Hope you get the chance to try it any enjoy it. :]

  9. I was wondering if ur gona do a video on kat von d’s new eyeshadow, true romance, love and fury…i bought it and im having a hard time using it.

  10. Hello,
I just started watching your videos a while back, and i find it amazing what you are able to do with make up. Its beautiful. I’ve always had allergys to make up, and before i started watching your tutorials, I never missed it. Now i wish i had been able to learn and practice more with things such as those.

  11. I am soon to be a 40 year old woman. I absolutely love the look of false eye lashes and purchased some, but tried them once and got frustrated and they sit in their box. I watched an episode of Rachel Ray recently who had Rupaul on as a guest. He said a short cut to easily puting on lashes was to cut each lash into 3 sections, then put them on. Today, I decided to watch a video on how to put them on and came across your YouTube videos. You are absolutely gorgeous, and I love the colors of your hair. Ive always loved that “wild” look and people who can pull that look off. I simply have never had the “nerve” to do that look. I did, however, fall in love with your look, and found your blog, and love it. I hope you are on facebook too, as I am going to try and find you there. Good luck in all of your fun and stylish adventures!

  12. Heyy! First of all, I love your videos! You break it all down and let us knows what’s up and what’s not and on a ‘beauty on a budget’ scale – lovelovelove.

Anyways, I have fair-skin like yours so I have always focused on foundations, powders, eyeliners, mascaras, etc. to compensate for what I felt was a curse for a long time (the fair skin). I’ve grown to love it but that’s another story. My deal is I have never ever ever wore anything on my lips other than chapstick….? I don’t know what I was thinking either but looking back I look well, flushed. With the pale skin, the black eyeliner, you know.

I love the shades and the overall look of most the lip colors you use and I was wondering if you could make a video about some of the more fair-skin flattering lipsticks you have come across. I have bought 2 lipsticks recently and they are basically the color of your background on your website here. So yeah, WOW on my part.
    Lookin’ a hot mess!

But thank you so much for all of your reviews and keeping my hard earned money safe and I would absolutely love to see a video about some fair-skinned flattering shades.
+ I am sure others would too!

    Take care!

  13. HI!! I love watching your videos and just discovered your blog. May i make a suggestion, please change you font color or background color on your list of blogs. I have a very hard time reading what each thing is. Thanks so much and keep up the good work!!

  14. Greetings and Happy holidays!

I really enjoyed viewing your video on youtube on applying fake eyelashes. I would like to with your permission add you to my website to share with others. I really do appreciate it and thanks for your time. I look forward to the next video! Merry Christmas!
    Ellen Nilene

  15. I was watching one of your videos saying that you have yet to find the perfect moisturizer. I was wondering if you have ever tried any of the Kiehls products. I am currently using Kiehls ultra facial cream and I love it. I called them today for you to see if they did animal testing. The woman I spoke to said that they do not personally do animal testing. She also said that they are a divison of Loreal which means that some ingredients may have been tested on an animal before being put into the product but the product itself has not been. I did happen to find out that the product that I am currently using ingredients and all has never been tested on an animal. I really hope that this was helpful. I love your videos so much. They are amazing!!

  21. I love you soooooo much lol, I’ve been watching your videos since like before I even did anything with eyeshadow. Request? Could you PLEASEE do some videos on some looks with the 88 coastal scents palette? :T I would just die if you did <3

  22. I know you super love the sigma brushes…i recently went to a trade show and Morphe was there…have you ever heard ofο»Ώ them? are they any good? I would love a review. I just want to know before I spend any money on them. Sigma and M.A.C. are just so gosh darn expensive.

  23. Thank you so much for your time and knowledge! I honestly don’t read blogs, or wear much make-up at all; Until I ran into you of course. I can actually go to stores knowing what to buy when it comes to beauty supplies. Thank you!!!!

  24. Hi! I first want to say that I love your videos!!! I’m wondering what kind of eye look I can do with glasses? I have thicker black rims that I love but I feel like my eye makeup gets lost behind them. Any suggestions?

  25. hey during one of your tutorials you said this wasn’t your daily makeup and i was wondering what is cause my eye color is similar to yours and i thought well maybe she has a good idea on what i can do so i was wondering if you could make a tutorial on one of your more common daily eye make up please and thank you

  26. Hi Cora! I want to thank you so much for your awesome videos. Since I started watching them, I’ve become much more adventurous with makeup. Saturday for my wedding, I took a lot of inspiration from your Mad Men series to wear accent lashes with winged liner and Ruby Woo lipstick for a fabulous classic look! I think the red lip is now my go-to. You make everything so fun and easy – thank you!

  27. Hi Cora,
Just wondering if you had a favorite airbrush makeup machine. I have watched some of your reviews but still don’t know which one i should get. Your opinion would really help. Thanks

  28. Hi Cora-

I am a subscriber and really enjoy your tutorials and reviews. What do you suggest, or can you do a review or tutorial on concealers? I have some hyperpigmentation that I am in the process of fading and have found that the concealers I try make the spots look grey (?).

Also, because of your review(s), I am getting my first Z Pro Palette this week. WhooHoo! It’s like a gated community/neighborhood for my makeup. I can’t wait!

You rock! Keep up the good work.

  29. I just came across your eyelash tutorial and you are a genius! Thanks to your fast, easy and almost foolproof method, I can wear lashes even when I’m rushing out the door! Thank you for that. And this blog is phenomenal. Your hunger games look is breathtaking.

  30. Hi Cora,

Of course you wouldn’t know me and you probably won’t see this but I have to share it anyways. You have literally been an inspiration to me, not just in makeup but in life. You seem like SUCH an amazing person, and when I watch your videos, your wonderful positive attitude is what I aspire to have.

If it wasn’t for you, I wouldn’t have found the courage to be myself and get the help I need for my anxiety disorder. You’ve helped me find the courage to be the better me. I wanted to thank you for that.

  31. Just stumbled across your site and I’m loving it. I am a big fan of the pin-up makeup style and I enjoy your videos on it. Do you you think you could do a video on a dramatic black eye look? I saw a lot of dramatic colors, but didn’t see any that were all black or shades of grey. Keep up the awesome videos πŸ™‚

  32. Thank you so much for your videos, there the kind of video that I like to watch!i know that I only ten and that my mum wouldn’t let me use that much makeup yet,I still love your vids though!we are both Vegos and I like everything to be perfect to!i love you so much thanks for your vids and you are the best at makeup and when I grow up I really want to be a makeup artist lots of love Sarah! 34. Hi, I just was just watching your ”SIN”derella tutorial , I am in makeup artistry school. The character is Danielle Debarbarek or Nicole Di loncre πŸ™‚ im sure those were both misspelled.lol. I love your tutorials and find them extremely educational and inspiring. Keep them coming

  35. Hello! I love your videos, you are amazing! I first came across your peacock video about a year ago, and I have been waiting to try it out since then! I did have a question that I didn’t see answered anywhere: how do you clean your brushes??

  36. First let me say u r AWSOME. next i love love love the peacock mask so bright and colorful. but i was wondering if u had a vid one just regular makeup for under a masquerade mask as im sure there r meny this new years eve i am going to one and although i have peacock feathers on the mask im not sure that concept would work with it as the mask itself is white with black around the eyes with pink and black feathers for like then main group then 3 peacock feathers for that that touch of flare.so if u could help that would be great.as im sure there will be other masquerade themed new years eve parties

  37. Hey Cora!
I just wanted to say I friggin love your videos. The makeup is so crazy and your hair is awesome. You are so funny too, I laugh at least once everytime I watch your videos. For pinurple when you said ” I’m going to take a nice shocking pink like this, which ironically is called shocking pink…I know” omg that makes my life everytime I watch it basically. Anyways, just wanted to let you know I think you are amazing and keep the vids coming!

  38. Cora,
I am going through some major bad stuff in my life.. been stressed big time. Want you to know I just watched a few of your youtube tutorials. They made me smile… thank you for your effort.

  39. Hey Cora

I love watching your tutorials. Your makeup ideas are wonderful and they way you explain are fantastic. So my question is I am a halloween fanatic and have already started working on my costume for this October as an Ice Queen or Snow Queen with a long royal blue gown but I have been thinking of the make up situation and thought how the lovely Cora would probably have such amazing ideas since I saw your Sea Queen tutorial. Would you be able to do up maybe something for me if possible. Thanks so much…oh and of course I voted for you.

  40. Hi
I was just surfing the net looking for some bright make up tutorials and came across yours on youtube. I am 46 years old and am still into dying my hair, adding extensions, goth make up clothes etc. Your tutorials are excellent! Thank you for sharing

  41. Hello Cora,

You are such a lovely person. I love seeing your posts and videos. Your cheerfulness can brighten any day.

I love all the new eyeliners you have posted about. It makes me sort of sad because I have a dilemma that I can’t see out of one of my eyes but I love eyeliner. I dream of being able to wear beautiful swooping liners in lovely colors. However, that is pretty impossible for me. I have watched a lot of stuff on how to put eyeliner on with more ease. I’ve tried all sorts of different eyeliners to see what would work best for me but still can’t get past the fact I can’t get the same look at all on both eyes.

I normally close my one eye that is blind while putting eyeliner on and manage to get the eyeliner looking just fine. When I move to my good eye, I struggle to repeat the look with my eye open but it just doesn’t work out. It ends with me going back and forth between to two trying to match them which normally ends with way too much eyeliner caked on shapelessly.

I’ve thought about the eyeliner sheets you paste on but I’ve read so many bad reviews.

Would you have any tips achieving certain eyeliner looks or maybe there is a look that’s easy enough that I should be able to copy it eye open or closed. Or maybe my dreams of pretty eyeliners are just unreachable. I know I have been told by a few make artist friends to just not wear eyeliner.

  42. Hey Cora, love the tutorials. I just watched the thing about the lingerie and I dont know if you have checked out the NEW bra that Jockey has out with. Here is the link http://www.jockey.com/brastory. They have come up with a New way of you getting your RIGHT fit. I have funny shoulders and the Straps never stay up. And I’m sometimes a C and sometimes a D. So I have a hard time finding the right fit. I love Jockey. Great Bras and Underwear. Thanks for your time. And KEEP up the great tutorials. Nora Jax, Fl.

  43. Hey Cora,
I have been a subscriber since the beginning. I love your makeup style. It’s like mine. I ally love you malice and wonderland. Anyway so love you and stay creative.
    Xoxo
    Caitie.

  44. Have you ever tried “The Balm”? They are a great makeup company out of San Fran that I just cannot get enough of. Aside from the fact that they make an effort to stay as “green” as possible, they are also very conscientious of the contents of their makeup. My personal favorite: the lip gloss. Clear (lemon) and Red (fruit punch) are the best. Now, I am not typically the kind of person who likes:

    1. Lip Gloss. Its thick. It’s waxy. It dries out my lips and creates far more work to maintain than a standard long wear lipstick.

    2. Flavored crap tastes horrible and quite frankly gives me a headache.

The Balm’s lip gloss does NONE of those things. I HIGHLY recommend it!!!!

  45. Sugar Plum Fairy was awesome!! I have received an Ulta gift card for Xmas, and can only afford one high priced pallette. Should I buy the Lorac Unzipped or the UD Naked 3? From here they look very similar, but I want to know which one you think is best.

  46. I absolutely love your videos… I have been following you for a fee more the now. Could you please do a tutorial on contouring. And what products you love best. I use kat von d foundation and I love it. I’m just horrible at contureing.. Thank you in advance

  47. Hi Cora!

I just want to say, from one plus sized makeup lover to another, THANK YOU! Everything you do is amazing! I have learned so much from watching your videos!

I do have a question for you. I have been seeing alot about counterfeit or fake makeup. “Brand” products that are sold on sites such as Ebay or Amazon for incredably low prices. My question is, how do you know if what you’re buying is the real thing?

    XOXO
    Keisha

  48. You should be proud of your site redo. πŸ™‚ I wouldn’t have the first clue either! The only thing I miss is the button that said “Watch me on YouTube” that linked directly to your channel.

  49. I have a good tip for u I just happened across one of ur utubes
This is nothing to do with selling etc
Just a quick tip of which u may already know My older Sister told me about this in the 70’s Im 60 years old
After applying your lipstick– put ur first finger in your mouth — close ur lips–
On your finger while pulling it out of ur mouth— this will keep ur lipstick from getting on your lips
This really does work Ive always done it for years Always a big lipstick wearer
By watching your glitter lips I thought I would share this with you…

Hope you enjoy this little tip
    Rhonda
    Okc., Ok

  51. I wanted to thank you for this site. In a world of Michelle Phan’s and Kandee Johnson’s, it’s amazing to see someone who looks like me. Thank you for reminding me that I can be beautiful too.

  52. I love how kind and positive you are! You come across so real and true to yourself and I find you to be so much more relatable! You are an inspiration and great to spend time with Thanks for being you!

  53. Hi Cora,
I love watching your videos and coming back to your website for lists and summaries, etc. Only thing is I don’t know what happened to your website recently: I see no search bar. I can’t find anything now, and on top of that, it seems that very few posts are even available for viewing. Please please bring back the old design for your site! This one is really difficult and confusing to navigate.

    Your devoted subscriber,
    Salma

  54. After watching your skincare video, it sounded like your skin “issues” were the same as mine and that we had the same skin types, so I switched to your routine. My skin has made a complete 180 and has never looked this good! I finally feel totally comfortable going out with no makeup on. Thanks so much for sharing your knowledge! Love watching your vids!

  55. Hi Cora. I just watched you last video and wanted to send you a huge hug all the way from Switzerland.
I am in my forties, not really a beauty addict (though I followed you and fell in love with UD) and I deeply like you and your videos. You are cute as hell, insanely talented and beautiful, and come across as the most gentle person in the world.
Maybe it is my age giving me patience, but even if I periodically check if you have a new video, I never take them for granted and simply enjoy them whenever they come.
I like you reviews, but I think my favourite are your tutorial because I get to play (sometimes extreme) makeup vicariously through you (I used to create very theatrical half-looks just for the fun when I was a girl -still do occasionally), while learning with a great artist.
Take good care of yourself, dear Cora. I am guessing the large majority of your public is as patient, friendly and grateful as I feel. Love.
