10 To-Die-For Green Handbags

As you may have guessed by my haircolor for the past year, I am a total sucker for the color green. Green is a versatile color that can feel happy, clean, fresh and bright, but it can also be luxurious, murky, dark and mysterious. Give me green in pretty much all of it’s incarnations: emerald, grassy, chartreuse, dirty olive, nearly black. The right shade of green can be a statement piece, or a neutral staple in your wardrobe. Green of any hue is one of my favorite colors to see in a handbag, and green bags are having a moment so I wanted to share a few with you!

We’ll start with something fairly tame and classic, this turnlock style from Ted Baker. The color is downright neutral but more interesting than a brown or gray bag. I love the clean lines and the rose gold hardware! It has a 21 1/2” inch strap drop which is about the minimum I need for a bag to fit my size 22 body as a cross-body. I just love how neutral and chic this is, and the inner compartments could make organizing my phone, eye drops, sunglasses, receipts, and zillions of lipsticks a little bit easier.

Fat babes rejoice: This Whiting & Davis crossbody bag has a 25″ strap drop that can also convert into a shoulder strap! Love the Versatility! Plus have you ever had a metal mesh bag like this? I had one in the early 00’s and it feels so cool! The oil slick coloring is gorgeous, and it comes in 4 other colors to tickle your fancy.

I love a good nylon bag- it’s so practical and light-weight, perfect for day trips or traveling. This Nordstrom Brand crossbody  is easy to clean; you can toss these in your washing machine, and let it air dry to get all the crumbs and coffee spills out. Is that just me? The olive color is so beautiful, it has a 23″ strap drop which is my personal sweetspot, and quite a few handy features like card slots. Kinda thinking og scooping this one up!

Three words: Green Leopard Print. Either that makes you very excited or makes you cringe. It’s an acquired taste, or maybe it’s just tacky, but if you love it who cares! This Claire V. clutch is essentially a zippered pouch that is big enough to hold a small tablet. Made in Italy and the USA, it’s a lovely piece that speaks volumes about your personality.

Green Velvet is probably one of my favorite things ever. Add matelassé stitching (the folding) into the mix and this bag becomes a textural delight! This Miu Miu bag is made in Italy, and is a pretty decent size for an over the shoulder bag. The price puts this baby well outside my budget, but I’m still delighted to have seen it!

I let out an audible sigh when I spotted this Gorgeous BRAHMIN satchel. The Color. The Velvet. The Embossing. The Shape. The boxy enterior that would make it easy to see an everything on the inside. Seeing this bag was like falling in love, I’m imagining us going to holidays together, and seeing the kids off the college and then in the twilight years, kicking back and watching the sunset together. It’s a bit pricey but not quite as INSANE as some gorgeous bags, so I’ll be watching to see if it goes one sale, or maybe I’ll just bite the bullet!

The moment I saw this Hobo Clutch I was struck by how practical it is! I love a good wrist clutch, and this one ticked all the boxes: Great style, fabulous color, big enough for my phone and card wallet but not so big I’ll over stuff it. The Jasper color will look lovely in any season, and I can see myself getting a lot of mileage out of this one. So I bought it. It comes it two other beautiful colors as well.

This Simon Miller bag was made in the USA! While this looks like a fairly large tote, reading the info I realized it’s more like a small clutch in size: 8”W x 7 3/4”H x 3”D Not so great for anyone who carried more than their phone credit card  and lipgloss, but perfect for a non-fussy date or dinner with your friends when you don’t want to look too dressed up but your everyday bag is too heavy for a night out. The color on this is right up my alley, I just want to pet it!

Compared to many of the others on this list, this Street Level clutch is a bargain at $35. I love faux fur, and the geo-shape of this cute bag really speaks to me. This bag s a 23″ strap drop- my plus-size sweet spot! This would be a great way to dip your toe in if you’re not sure green bags are for you!

And of course- most fun for last. I love any bag that looks like something else, so this Moschino Small Biker Jacket Shoulder Bag is insanely adorable to me. Under the cute design this is a basic flap bag, made in Italy, with a 21-24″ crossbody strap so hey-yo, perfect for every body.

What is boohoo.com ? Affordable Plus Size Try On Review

You guys! I am beyond impressed with my first ever BooHoo unboxing. Unbagging? Whatever- I’m so stoked to share with you this affordable plus size fashion try on haul. Boohoo carries standard size clothing as well as plus size fashion, and the prices even without the sale are incredible, but everything is currently 50% off! I’d been waffling on trying Boohoo.com for a few years, and frankly I’d always assumed it would be crappola. Ya’ll: I am BEYOND impressed with the quality and the style! I was able to find things that suited my taste and also pick up a few things slightly outside of my comfort zone. Be sure to stay tuned to the end of the video- that last dress is FIRE!

for this try on haul, I did something a little different, I took everything out of the bag on camera to give you my immediate reactions, and then filmed a post-try on review/interview of each piece. Let me know how you liked this. It made the video a bit longer but I was also able to give both my initial excitement and thoughts on how is fit and ideas on styling.

Witchy Maxi Dresses & Spooky Pinup Style | Plus Size Fashion

If you love spooky fashion raise your hand! Both hands if you love wearing it year round. So now that we have our hands in the ay-yer and wave ’em like we just don’t kay-eerrr! Let me hear you say Oh Yay errr! Is it unexpected to reference Outkast in a spooky gothic lookbook post? good. We do weird around here, which is why today’s plus size fashion lookbook explores my love for spooky fashion with styles ranging from Boho Goth to Pinup. Many of my instagram and youtube friends have let me know that they love my darker vibe lately, to which I must say dude me too! I held my self back from dressing like this for years due to a lack of great options and a feeling that I had to be more mainstream to be successful. But it’s the things that make us unique that make us interesting, and now that i have the option I feel I am coming into my own as a fashion lover and as a person. I really enjoy a witchy/boho goth vibe as well as cute spooky pinup vintage style, and I have some pieces from some of my favorite indie designers, Pinup Girl Clothing and Atomic Starlet.

I don’t know about you but one of my style icons is Stevie Nicks. When I found this City Chic Fleetwood Maxi Dress I lost mah shit! Once I composed myself, I then bought it immediately. It’s so flattering and beautiful I can’t even believe it’s real. Wore this baby to StyleCON OC and I was cool, comfortable and fabulous.

For the longest time I’ve been searching for a simple, flattering Maxi Slip Dress. The perfect foundation piece for layering. I love maxi dresses and finding plus size maxi dresses with full fluttery skirts can be a bit of a challenge so I really hope this one I found from City Chic are helpful if  you too are looking for that!

My Love for the Pinup Girl CLothing Riply top continues! After years of searching for a button up that is figure flattering and doesn’t gap at the bust I’m in love. This also has a longer front piece that you can tie off in the front but I’m wearing it tucked in to hide that. The Skirt I’m wearing is a truly DIVINE piece from fellow YouTuber AVintageVanity‘s Atomic Starlet clothing line. I honestly can’t say what is my favorite feature: The pockets, the print, the leatherette panels, or the eyelet lace. It’s a gothic western fantasy.

Speaking of Pinup Girl Clothing- I’m super obsessed with their peasant tops! I have a few, but my favorite is the monster print! I paired that with one of their pencil skirts, and this outfit is just so completely adorable!
